Introduction to Kettle Club Watches
Sam & Joe’s passion for luxury timepieces and their desire to establish themselves as one of the leading quality watch dealers, in not only the UK but throughout Europe, led the two entrepreneurs to forego the security of their 9-5 careers and set up Kettle Club Watches.
From Small Beginnings to Rapid Growth
Starting out initially from a small office and promoting themselves through Instagram, Kettle Club was quick to grow a loyal following of more than 70,000 followers while forging and establishing strong relationships with both customers and watch dealers alike.
The rapid growth of the business and Kettle Club’s reputation opened up the possibility to take on their own retail unit and with typical fearlessness and confidence in their brand, Joe & Sam took the step to take on a small retail space in the very heart of London’s financial centre.
Maximising Natural Light and Display Opportunities
Large aspect windows, to both the shopfront and Andaz Hotel entrance, are furnished with display case units designed as part of the shopfront counter, ensuring maximisation of the bespoke counter design and limiting the unnecessary need for numerous joinery units.
Harmonious Design with Patinated Copper and Solid Surfaces
The counters are a harmonious mix of patinated copper fascia and glass displays, all of which are framed by a beautiful neutral solid surface countertop that is enriched with swirling warm grey veining and accents of ochre and umber highlights, which reflect the textures and finishes in the patinated copper counter fronts.
Elevated Ambience with High Ceilings and LED Lighting
The retail space, although small in floor area, is blessed with a considerable ceiling height that greets you directly on entry and is adorned by 2no. contemporary LED pendants that both dominate and define the space, providing beautiful light and illusion reflecting against the mirror-polished copper wall cladding.
Thoughtful Layout and Maximising Space
Situated directly adjacent to the entrance to the City’s 5-star Andaz Hotel and no more than a stone’s throw from London’s iconic Liverpool Street Station, the Kettle Club is perfectly situated in one of the capital’s busiest streets.
On entry into the shop, the layout is simple and well-considered to ensure that all the available 15msq retail space is utilised effectively.
Bespoke Counter and Display Units
A large bespoke counter unit, with a display case providing promotion opportunities for quality timepieces, is situated directly opposite the entrance door so as to meet and greet customers on entry.
The main counter is flanked by a secondary smaller counter unit, providing the shop staff with the same facility to both serve and display.
The walls are clad in mirror-polished copper sheets strategically positioned to create both depth and warmth to the space and provide a striking contrast to the neutral palette used in the selection of colour finishes for the wall, ceiling and herringbone floor.
